What is the R290 Gas?

R290 is a natural gas that is commonly used in commercial and domestic refrigeration and cooling. The new R290 gas has substantial cooling power and is combined with the perfect thermal insulation of the cell to significantly reduce the energy consumption of machines.

Under the new European Union legislation in which the use of HFC gases was prohibited from January 2022, the new gas R290is the ideal solution, with its impact on the ozone layer and global warming negligible compared to previous technologies.

Why R290 gas?

  • There is only about 85g (approximately 5 pocket lighters worth) of gas in each Twist cooling unit
  • Gas is isolated and far from possible sources of ignition, removing the risk of fire
